SJSEL x TIXR Partnership

We’re pleased to announce an upcoming upgrade to the ticketing and guest experience for events at Mary Brown’s Centre and St. John’s Convention Centre!

Launching July 2, we will transition to a new ticketing platform, Tixr, introducing a more intuitive, accessible, and flexible experience for both guests and event partners.

This upgrade reflects our continued focus on delivering a modern, guest-first experience—one that evolves alongside the expectations of today’s audiences and the growing needs of our events and partners.

At St. John’s Sports & Entertainment Ltd., innovation means more than adopting new systems—it’s about making meaningful improvements in how people discover, access, and engage with live experiences. Answering Your Questions

What’s changing?
We’re pleased to announce we’re introducing a new ticketing platform, Tixr, at Mary Brown’s Centre and St. John’s Convention Centre, launching July 2, as part of our continued commitment to improving the overall experience for our partners and guests.

Paired with this, we will be launching a refreshed mbcentre.ca website and email marketing platform aimed to improve event and ticket information, and accessibility.
What happens to my tickets?
All existing tickets will be reissued automatically to the original method of delivery (email or will call).

Please note, outstanding ticket transfers must be completed before June 30 at 12pm.
I have an outstanding ticket transfer, and the ticket(s) haven’t been accepted yet. What will happen to the tickets?
Pending ticket transfers (transferring tickets from guest to guest) need to be completed by 12pm on June 30. Please prompt the end user to complete the transfer, or tickets will end up back in the original account.

You can always transfer tickets later through Tixr - you’ll just have to complete the transfer steps again.
I am a season ticket holder with Newfoundland Regiment. What happens now?
Season Seat Holders who have paid in full will receive an email advising you to establish your Tixr account. Your account will show the purchase however tickets will not be released until August 1. Once tickets are released, they will be available through the original delivery method selected (email or will call).

Season Seat Holders who have established a bill plan will receive an email notice on July 2nd to update the payment method. Credit card information previously provided has not been carried over to the Tixr and you will need to update that information on your account.
You will also see another email from us with all you need to know on your TIXR account (you’re going to love it) and some helpful hints and steps for common questions.

Will I need a new account?
If you have an existing Tixr account a new account set up is not required if the email you provided at time of purchase matches the email of your current Tixr account.

If you currently do not have a Tixr account and have purchased a ticket for an upcoming event, you will receive an email notification to the email provided at time of purchase advising you to establish your account to access your tickets. Don’t worry! It’s easy and we’ll be here to help you.
Will ticket formats change?
No—mobile and printed tickets will still be accepted.
When will ticketing be unavailable?
Ticketing will be unavailable from 12pm on June 30 to approximately July 2 at 12pm. There will also be a brief disruption to mbcentre.ca during this time.
How can I get help once the new platforms are live?
We’ll be here the whole way! Our Box Office team have recently completed training with our new friends at Tixr and are looking forward to serving you.
