We are thrilled to have you join us for the KIOTI National Grand Slam of Curling! Here is some additional information to help you plan your transport to MBC.

Parking

DAY TIME PARKING:

Private off street parking – there are parking garages located at 351 Water Street, Metro Park, 330 Duckworth Street, A.P. Parking Garage, Clift’s Baird’s Cove and the St. John’s Convention Centre that provide parking services for a fee (cash only). PLEASE NOTE: City Hall parking garage is not available until after 5:00PM on weekdays.

On-Street Parking: there are on-street paid parking spaces throughout the downtown, including New Gower Street. City managed on street paid parking spaces have maximum times posted for the area, as well as on City of St. John’s website. Parking is free after 6 p.m. and on weekends. Parking rates are $1.75 per hour in the downtown core and surrounding areas. Payment can be made at pay stations or through the PayByPhone app.

***The City Hall parking garage is parking by PERMIT ONLY until 5 p.m. on weekdays and not available for public parking. The parking garage is available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and on the weekend.

DROP OFF’S, CARPOOLING OR ALTERNATE TRANSPORT ARE RECOMMENDED.

EVENING PARKING:

Evening parking will be available at SJCC (very limited) and City Hall starting at 5:00PM Tuesday – Friday. Parking fees are cash only. On-street and surrounding private parking garages remain available.

WEEKEND PARKING:

Weekend parking will be available at SJCC (very limited) and City Hall from 10:30AM on Saturday and 11AM on Sunday. Parking fees are cash only. On-street and surrounding private parking garages remain available.
