Introducing Sensory Skating
St. John’s Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (SJSEL) is thrilled to announce it has added Sensory Skating to Mary Brown’s Centre (MB Centre) free recreational skates this year!
By introducing sensory skating, SJSEL is taking an important step towards making MB Centre’s skating more accessible. MB Centre’s new sensory skates will provide a more comfortable and inclusive ice-skating experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities. During sensory skates, MB Centre will reduce noise in the facility, turn off music, and dim the lighting to create a calmer atmosphere on the ice.
Public skating starts on Sunday, November 5, with the first sensory skate scheduled for Monday, November 6.
