Parking

Private Off-Street Parking: there are parking garages located at 351 Water Street, Metro Park, 330 Duckworth Street, A.P. Parking Garage, and Clift’s Baird’s Cove. St. John’s Convention Centre provides parking services for a fee (cash only) at most public events*.

On-Street Parking: there are on-street paid parking spaces throughout the downtown, including New Gower Street. City managed on street paid parking spaces have maximum times posted for the area, as well as on City of St. John’s website. Parking is free after 6 p.m. and on weekends. Parking rates are $1.75 per hour in the downtown core and surrounding areas. Payment can be made at pay stations or through the PayByPhone app.

***The City Hall parking garage is parking by PERMIT ONLY until 5 p.m. on weekdays and not available for public parking. The parking garage is available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and on the weekend.
