FAQ'S

Thanks for checking out events with Mary Brown's Centre! To view our Venue Policies, click HERE.

If you still have questions, please contact the Mary Brown's Centre Box Office. They can be reached during regular hours at 709-576-7657.

I wanted tickets for a show, but they sold out faster than I thought – what happened?
Some events are incredibly popular, and when tickets go on sale, there can be hundreds or even thousands of people trying to buy tickets at the same time. For example, if 500 fans each buy just two tickets, that’s 1000 tickets sold in seconds, which can lead to a sellout very quickly.
Why does ticket availability or pricing sometimes change? If more seats open up, can I exchange the tickets I already bought?
Sometimes, as the event date gets closer and stage setups are finalized, additional tickets might be released. For particularly popular events, seats with side-stage views might be put on sale by the event organizer.

Ticket prices can also change—either up or down—based on decisions made by the promoter or event organizer, similar to how prices for airlines and hotels fluctuate due to various factors like demand.

As with all ticket sales, there are no seat changes, exchanges, cancellations or refunds.
I bought "General Admission" tickets – what does that mean?
General admission means there aren’t any assigned seats; seating or standing areas are on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.
I bought tickets from a source other than the Mary Brown’s Centre Box Office. Are they valid?
The only way to be sure your tickets are legitimate is to buy them directly from the Mary Brown’s Centre Box Office, whether in person, by phone, or online at mbcentre.ca. If you purchase from an unauthorized source, there’s a risk your tickets might not be valid, and you could be denied entry to the event. If you’re uncertain whether your ticket provider is authorized, feel free to reach out to our Box Office for confirmation.
Why is there a ticket limit when I try to buy for certain events?
For many events, there’s a limit on the number of tickets you can purchase. This limit, if applicable, is listed on the event’s information page. The event organizer sets this limit to prevent unfair ticket-buying practices. The limit can vary depending on the event or its anticipated demand.
Is there a time limit when buying tickets online?
Yes, there is. When you select tickets, you’re temporarily holding those seats, and no one else can buy them until your transaction is complete. You’ll notice a timer on your screen that starts once you’ve chosen your seats. If you don’t finish your purchase within that time, the seats will be released back for others to buy.

Keep in mind that a slow internet connection might slow down your process.
I bought tickets for an event that’s been canceled. Will I get a refund?
Yes, if the event is canceled by the promoter, you’ll be contacted and refunded. If you have any more questions, you can reach the Mary Brown’s Centre Box Office at boxoffice@mbcentre.ca or 709-576-7657.

Please note that opening acts and guest performers are subject to change, so refunds aren’t available if the opener cancels or changes.
I don’t want or need my tickets anymore. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, no. Once you’ve purchased tickets, all sales are final, so please double-check your event and seat selection before purchasing.
How do I transfer my ticket to another person? Or have them transfer a ticket to me?
To transfer tickets from one person to another, log onto your mbcentre.ca account and transfer the ticket(s) to the new ticket holder. Tickets can be transferred via email or text. For assistance, please contact the Mary Brown’s Centre Box Office. Always be cautious of potential scams. If a ticket holder does not have a valid ticket, they will not be permitted access to an event.
I only have a screenshot of my ticket. Is that valid?
Screenshots of tickets may not be valid for entry. To ensure your ticket is valid, it must be available in your mbcentre.ca account. If you're purchasing a ticket from another individual, make sure they transfer the ticket to your mbcentre.ca account. Please be cautious of scams. Without a valid ticket in your account, access to the event may not be granted.
I require accessible seating. What do I do?
To ensure seating arrangements are suitable, please contact the Mary Brown’s Centre Box Office to reserve accessible seating. One attendant pass will be available free of charge with accessible ticket purchase and proof of a valid and non-expired St. John's attendant pass.

The Mary Brown's Centre Box Office can be reached during regular hours at 709-576-7657.
I am attending an event and have a service animal. What do I need to know?
Service animals are welcome in the Mary Brown’s Centre! To ensure seating arrangements are suitable, patrons must contact the Mary Brown's Centre Box Office prior to an event.
