FireFit Championship 2026

The St. John’s Regional Fire Department is proud to host the 2026 Newfoundland and Labrador Regional FireFit Championship at the Mary Brown’s Centre on August 22–23, 2026.

Organized by FireFit Canada Ltd., the competition simulates real emergency scenarios through a high-intensity obstacle course. Competitors, wearing full gear, race through tasks like stair climbs, hose hoists, forcible entry, and victim rescue. This regional championship brings together firefighters from across Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond to compete for top standings and qualification opportunities at larger national and international FireFit events.

The event is free and open to the public, offering an exciting opportunity to see firefighters in action, as they showcase their strength, skill, and teamwork. Details for spectators and how to attend will be released this summer.

This event is free and open to the general public of all ages. Come enjoy a weekend of fun and competition!

St. John’s Convention Centre Parking Garage will not be available for this event. Guests should avail of other parking garages in the area, or on-street parking nearby.

Concessions will be available on site.
